Welcome to Your Jewish Community

Limmud Atlanta + SE is a unique Jewish community: a place where the agenda is set by volunteers for volunteers – by you. LimmudFest is a place where you are encouraged to be creative, take risks: try new things. Everyone teaches and everyone learns. Everyone is responsible for the experience this weekend. You make it happen. That’s why there are no participants or volunteers at LimmudFest: instead, everyone is a volunticipant

Shabbat Alternative Body-Mind-Spirit Service: Torah Yoga; Jewish Meditation; Jewish Chanting
The body is the "house" of the spirit. Drawing from Hatha Yoga poses and deep breathing, join Mitch Cohen, Steve Gold and Michael Levine as they guide participants to personally experience the weekly Torah portion through gentle movement (led by Mitch), Jewish meditation (led by Steve) and Jewish chanting (led by Michael).

Neshama can mean breath / spirit - the breath of life (nishmat chaim) breathed by G-d into Adam. Celebrate Shabbat, nourishing your Neshama with the wisdom of Torah through the body-mind-spirit experience.

No prior Yoga experience required - just bring a Yoga mat, a thick blanket and optional Yoga blocks.

Who Shall Live...?: A Dramatic Reading For Erev Selichot
At Selichot we prepare ourselves for the spiritual journey of the High Holidays. "Who Shall Live...?" introduces us to four Jews from different backgrounds as they struggle with the themes and issues with which many of us are challenged as we come face to face with the words of the prayers and the realities of our lives. In these four characters we see pieces of ourselves. The reading will be followed by a discussion of its themes as we prepare for the spiritual journey of this season.
